Jerusalem in my Prayers
Yochanan Ligtenberg has succeeded in capturing Jerusalem in a new and exciting way never before seen. Ligtenberg gives us a bird's eye view of Jerusalem in all her many colors. We can see the famous
Jaffa Gate in front left hand corner of the painting with David's citadel directly opposite. As the eye moves along the painting one can see the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on the left as well as the
Church of all Nations in the background. In the center of the painting is the arch of the Hurva synagogue, and directly behind that is the Western Wall Plaza and the Kotel itself. Ligtenberg has even
depicted the fabulous Golden Gate. In the background of the painting is the Mount of Olives, which looks down on Jerusalem and protects her. Finally we are even privileged enough to be given a view of
the Dead Sea and the wilderness of the mountains of Edom and Moab.
Comes unframed, from a limited edition of 750.
$40.00
Dimensions: 19.5"h x 27.5"w (50cm height by 70 cm width )
